Surroundings

Xianghu Lake - the sister lake of West Lake, its beautiful scenery has gradually become well-known to many people. It is the birthplace of Zhejiang civilization. Xianzhao Temple is located on the top of Shiyan Mountain in Shushan Sub-district, Xiaoshan District. It was first built during the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1131-1162), and its name is derived from the meaning that "the light of the rising sun shines on this temple first". After several ruins and constructions, it was rebuilt by the monk Fuyun during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), and was razed to the ground in 1966. Since the late 1980s, private fundraising has been raised to gradually rebuild and expand the area. Currently, there are 55 rooms and over 3,000 square meters of various buildings, including the Great Buddha Hall, the Heavenly King Hall, the Bell and Drum Towers, the Relying Buddha Hall, the Medicine Buddha Hall, the Hall of Universal Harmony, the Study Rooms, and the guest rooms. A new Diamond pagoda has been built, with seven floors and eight corners, and a height of 28.85 meters. The current abbot is Master Sijian. Historically, Xianzhao Temple was bustling with incense smoke and was also a place that scholars and literati yearned for.

Xiasun Cultural Village is located at the east entrance of Xianghu Lake. Within the village, there are many distinctive scenic spots such as an antique street, Xianghu Cultural Exhibition Hall, Xiasun Ancestral Hall, and Xianghu Art Museum, which present a concentrated display of Xianghu's historical and cultural heritage.

The Kuahuqiao Ruins Museum is a golden historical and cultural calling card of Xiaoshan. It presents to us the in-depth scenes of the "8,000-year-old Kuahuqiao Culture". Here, the world's earliest canoes, the earliest wooden bows coated with raw lacquer, and cross-sea Bridges were unearthed. People mastered the most advanced slow-wheel pottery-making and textile techniques.

Senbo Water Park is an important unit of the central facilities, consisting of two major parts: indoor and outdoor.
